Noleus Wins $20,000 Grand Prize at Rice Launch Challenge
Noleus Technologies won the Grand Prize and $20,000 at the Rice Launch Challenge on March 29, 2018. Noleus placed 1st out of 10 Rice undergraduate, graduate, and alumni-affiliated startups. Sydney Gibson and Emily Evans pitched to a full house at the Rice Liu Idea Lab for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (LILIE).
The H. Albert Napier Rice Launch Challenge was hosted by Rice Business, LILIE, and the Rice Entrepreneurs Organization. JR of Station Houston emceed the event and Billy Cohn of J&J Center for Device Innovation served as one of the judges.
Noleus will compete next week at the Rice Business Plan Competition for the chance to win up to $300,000 investment and other prizes.
About the Rice Launch Challenge
The H. Albert Napier Rice Launch Challenge Startup Competition is Rice’s newest startup competition, awarding $60,000 in prize money to Rice-affiliated startups. Students and alumni enter business ideas (high growth ventures or small business ideas) to compete.
